Chapter 1: Unknown

*The Stream has begun*

The screen suddenly turned bright pink due to the hot pink background of the streamer’s apartment. A girl appeared and sat on her branded gamer’s chair. she then posed seductively for her fans as part of her opening gimmick. She flips her long blond hair to the back, just a bit messy, the way she likes it and of course tries to fit her voluptuous D-Cup just peeking out of her low cut shirt on the screen. She puckered her pink, plump and glossy lips and blew a flying kiss to her viewers. Her eyes were doll like sporting bright purple flowery contact lenses framed by her glitter studded eye-lashes to mesmerize her dozens of fanatics. She’s none other than ‘Angel’.

“Hello Angelites!! It’s your favorite girl Angel, we’re going to go boss hunting today in Ragmarox, because your girl needs a new rare bow, if you know what I mean.” The girl said in a high pitched cute voice.

Her IGN (In Game Name) is Angel and she is the Guild Leader of the ‘DangerClub’, one of the top guilds in the Ragmarox, the most popular mmorpg in the world. Not only that she is the most popular girl streamer of Ragmaroks in Twatch even though just getting into gaming and streaming for 3 mos. She has 2 million fans mostly mail who watch her streams daily. Some say she used to be a celebrity but due to a failed career in showbiz, she decided to focus all her energy in streaming and playing games where all the male fans worship her.

She’s a very powerful player in Ragmaroks. Her character is also ‘uniquely’ named ‘Angel’, a max level female archer. Her character has a voluptuous body just like hers, sporting a bright red silken kimono with 9 giant snow white kitsune tails stretching from her back. Her character’s hair is tied into an updo held by intricate flower-shaped gold pins that made her look like an empress. At her back were giant red fiery phoenix wings that occupies almost all of what’s left on the screen. The character held an epic elven crossbow, it was shining bright gold because it was enhanced to the maximum tier, anyone who played the game and was into high tier raiding knew that this was one of the 5 rarest bow in the server and the only female character who has it, is Angel. She is indeed one of the top.

“So today we’ll be going to the Quarantine Test Zone to hunt the boss Big Boy Parak! I hope we get something good today like an epic weapon or something!”

Although Angel acted like it wasn’t her first time to hunt Big Boy Parak, it’s actually her first time killing it without someone else piloting for her. Angel has a legion of pilots, professional players who sometimes plays her character for free since they’re her fans. But most of the time her boyfriend, ‘KillEdge’, the top one assassin in the server will be the one doing the hunting for her. Angel doesn’t enjoy grinding that much but would rather spend her time chatting in town with her guildmates or just sitting around trying out costumes from the shop.

As she approached the Big Boy Parak’s spawn zone, she heard sounds of someone trying to kill the Big Boy Parak. The Big Boy Parak is a new boss from the Relic Raiders expansion, it was a burst damage dealer with some Crowd Control skills. Probably one of the toughest bosses to solo for most Damage Dealers due to lack of Crown Control skills themselves and how easily they die because of low defense. This boss is a bad match for her character but she came prepared. This boss fight was the most requested from her fans. Usually she just uploads boss fights on her ytube and never really streams it. Doing this boss fight live will finally put those pilot rumors to rest.

The player who was trying to solo it was a female mid-tier knight, its name was ‘Unknown’. Unknown didn’t look special, she seems to be wearing lvl 80 gear equipment. It doesn’t seem to be epic gear either. This weak nobody was hunting Boy Parak, it puzzled and amused her.

‘Who’s this guy trying to solo Big Boy Parak? Unknown?…Does anybody know him or her? Whatever this is? Never mind, let me look up the rankings.’

Angel pulled up the Rankings website to look for Unknown. Since Big Boy Parak is a new boss not many people have hunted it.

‘Well, not even in the top 10…hmmm…there he is! Top 37, Well ain’t he bold. kudos to that. Let’s just wait for this guy to give up then I’ll show him how to kill the boss.”

Angel decided to watch and wait until Unknown dies, but being a Knight class, Unknown was tanky but low in damage. The boss was slowly but surely being chipped away but it was taking so much time. She looked at Unknown and to her shock, Unknown was not loosing any HP. She quickly thought that Unknown must be using one of those cash shop pots and anytime soon, Unknown would run out of it.

Time passes by, the fans of Angel’s stream started to get unruly, grumpy even and started to leave one by one.

‘This stream is boring, she just sits there waiting for some other guy kill it.’

‘Stop twerking and kill the boss already’

‘Is it true u pay other players to do all the dirty work for u?’

Angel started to get panicked, being impatient herself, she decided to do something.

“You know what, I’m kind of feeling bad today, I wanna kill that player for fun and steal the Big Boy Parak what do you guys think?”

Her frustrated comment section a few minutes ago, suddenly came to life. It’s was flooded with fans wanting to witness Angel do PK match, they wanted to see Angel take out a player, they were out for blood.

“Well guys, since its what yoo guys like!~ This isn’t my fault okay? I’m sorry to the person that I get to PK. Please don’t get mad at me… You guys are horrible Hahaha.” She squealed in a high pitched cutesy voice.

In her eyes, Unknown was a probably a noob and an easy kill. Taking on that boss all alone and as a tank character, what a noob she thought to herself. Unknown was the perfect tool to shut off all the rumors about her and propel herself higher up the ladder.

The Boss was already at half HP and Unknown was still chipping away at him when Angel suddenly attacked Unknown from behind. Unknown took the hit but easily dodged the next few attacks. Unknown noticing Angel was a ranged character used her dash skill to increase the distance between them. Unknown was kiting the boss while running away from Angel making sure that it doesn’t reset. Angel wasn’t actually used to PK, so she was just aggressively tapping the attack button without noticing that Unknown was keeping a distance between them where she’s just out of Angel’s range, while the boss follows Unknown closely in between them. Angel also didn’t notice that auto-target switched from Unknown to the boss, slowly but surely her threat level on the boss was increasing. Unknown, the boss and Angel was just running around in circles for a long period of times. Her fans were cheering Angel on and she was feeling the pressure. After a while Angel became very frustrated.

“WTF is with this guy! Just Running Away!! Don’t be a bitch!” She ranted on her stream.

In her frustration, she released her super skill. The Archer’s super skill, ‘Bow Revolution’ one of the highest damaging AOE skills in the game, the only drawback is it’s long cast time and its the only archer skill that has cast time which means most archers won’t even invest in points to reduce it’s CD. She aimed the ‘Bow Revolution’ at Unknown, but to her surprise, she was just standing there and was not trying to cancel her skill, most people would be clamoring to interrupt her attack by now but Unknown just stood there in the distance form her. Unknown must be thinking that by standing so far away from me he’s going to be out of reach of my skill, but my skill has the highest AOE range, it can reach even the far ends of this map, Angel thought to herself.

“Well thank heavens he’s a noob~, now say your prayers and kiss the floor please.”

A Beam of light streamed through the whole map, hitting Unknown. Angel took a sigh of relief but as the screen’s light cleared out, she saw Unknown just standing there with a tiny bit of HP left. Angel stood in shock, she then clamored to attack Unknown but Unknown was far off on the map and keeping distance, it was just one tiny final blow that she needed to finish it off when suddenly….the boss attacked her and in one instant her HP was halved, she was also knocked back to other side of the map.

“WTF Just happened! OMG! Waaaa~~~” She screamed as the Boss followed up another attack and another just bashing through. Her character runs around like a headless chicken as Angel panics at getting the Boss’ Aggro.

“Gosh Dammit, I can’t embarrass myself like this on a live stream, good thing I bought this ‘Graham’ potion”, she thought. ‘The Graham potion is a shop item that grants full HP once consumed. Angel brought 99 for this fight, but was a hesitant to use it. “If I use it right now, it’s an embarrassment, I’m the top 3 Archer dammit, I’m going to be a laughing stock as a Pay to Win player”, she begrudgingly thought. While lost in her thought Angel was shocked when Unknown suddenly appeared before her, in full HP. Unknown suddenly released shield bash that stunned her, next was knee dash, releasing skill after skill keeping her at a stun lock. Angel wasn’t able to heal and the Boss was approaching. With the Boss final auto attack skill hitting Angel’s character, her HP fell to 4 points. I’m still not dead and the boss is casting, there should be enough time to use a potion… That’s when unknown released a sword thrust and Angel’s HP fell to 0.

“Unknown has killed Angel”

Being a top 3 Archer in the server, that message was sprawled all over system chat for every player to see. Her comment section and the game’s world chat blew up! Shock, awe and disappointed filled the comments. Angel stood there her mouth gaped open in shock for a few moments until her frustration boiled over.

“OMG…NO WAY! NO WAY!!!” She screamed. She must do anything to save her reputation. She can’t be beaten by a no body mid tier knight. There’s just no way. Then she thought of what to do.

” This guy is definitely cheating! Did you see? I was lagging the whole time and for some reason the started attacking me.”

“Unknown, you suck for being a cheater so there.”

She turned off her stream.

“HOLYSH*T NO WAY. No No!!!

She started grabing and throwing stuff at the computer while screaming inaudible sounds and crying her eyes out. She was a hot mess and her bedroom was a wreck. She was crying out of frustration and embarrassment. She then whipped out her phone and took a look at her comments.

“ARRRRGHHH OMG!” She cried out in frustration. Her bedroom door opened wide when a tall black haired guy kicked it open, he was wearing glasses, a jersey shor, black loose shirt and was staring intently at his phone. He was playing a game and was in an intense battle that’s why he can’t even he use his hands to open the door and used his foot instead.

“What’s wrong babe? You screamed like a chihuahua back there, it’s still adorable but…” He said while not looking at her, busy playing the game on his Phone.

“You can’t just stare at your phone and ask me that question, seriously Ben.” Angel said wiping her tears away.

“Seriously, I told you to call me Rei, that’s my name now. How many times!” He retorted saying those worth through his teeth and in an irritated tone.

“Just put the phone down Ben, you’re being a horrible boyfriend right now.” Angel said in a serious tone while massaging her forehead.

“Just a minute, just a little bit moooooore, OK DONE!” Ben said, turning his phone off and putting it in his pocket. “Just got myself a new assassin’s edge, I can kill that Ass wipe PlexyKing in one hit. Let’s see if he can brag about anything after our fight.”

Angel gave Ben a death glare, Ben gave out a sigh and sat beside Angel, he tried to give her a giant hug when Angel pushed him aside. “What’s wrone babe?” He asked. “Look, I’m not in the mood for hugs right now,” she replied.

“Then what are you in the mood for?”, Ben asked sheepishly. “Ben, seriously? I was just embarrassed online, on MY STREAM, I feel like my career is over.”

“That’s impossible babe, I gave you the best equipment, second to mine. In order to beat you they have to have equipment that is as good as mine.”

“You don’t understand babe, that guy is cheating he used the boy parak to attack me.” Angel said trying to make sense of the situation.

“The only way that I’ll be in the mood for anything… is if you will do a favor for me.” Angel added in a seductive tone.

“Tell me, anything, I’m at your command.” Ben said.

“I want you to PK, this player named ‘Unknown’ using my character.”
